How to Choose the Best Meowijuana Blend for Your Cat!

How to Choose the Best Meowijuana Blend for Your Cat!

Here at Kitties & Cream we offer different catnip blends from Meowijuana. All the blends include herbs that are good for your cats, but how do you know which to choose for your cat? We’re here to explain each of the benefits of the herbs in each blend, so you can choose the best blend for your cat!

Paw Natural OG is high quality ground catnip! All cat lovers know what catnip is, but what does it do exactly? Catnip acts as a sedative in most cats by soothing stress and anxiety while also promoting play to remove any stress caused by boredom. Catnip can be used to promote exercise in overweight cats, as well as helping with bad habits your cat may have. However, some cats can respond with aggression, and about half of all cats aren’t affected by it at all! Always keep an eye on your cats while using catnip.

Feline Express is also just catnip, but instead of ground catnip, it's the whole bud, so it's extra potent!

Meowi Waui is the best of both worlds: a blend of whole buds and ground catnip.

Purrple Passion is a blend of catnip and silvervine. Silvervine is second-most well known of all the mood affecting herbs in cats. Silvervine works almost exactly the same as catnip, and cats who don’t respond to catnip will usually respond to silvervine, so if you notice that your cat doesn’t respond to catnip, try silvervine instead! Silvervine sticks are also very good for dental health!

Kalico Kush is a blend of catnip and valerian root. Valerian root is also very similar to the effects of catnip, as it soothes stress and promotes play and exercise! Valerian root is another great alternative if your cat doesn’t respond well, or at all, to catnip.

Happy Grass is a blend of catnip and lemongrass. The most common cat grass choice is oat grass, but lemongrass works essentially the same way. Lemongrass assists with digestion and gastrointestinal problems, and lowers blood pressure. However, consuming too much lemongrass can hurt your kitty’s tummy, so ensure you’re supervising use, and don’t give your cat too much.

Skull Cap is a blend of catnip, skullcap, and silvervine. Skullcap is a blue and purple flower native to Europe and North America. Skullcap has a calming effect on both cats and humans, and can increase nutrient uptake in your cat’s cells, which prevents them from eating too much and getting overweight.

Whisker Tickler is a blend of catnip, chamomile, and dandelion. Chamomile has anti-stress and anti-anxiety properties, and dandelion is full of vitamins A, B, and D, which promotes a healthy liver, heart, and skin while also strengthening the immune system.

Feline Frost is a blend of catnip, silvervine, and peppermint. Peppermint is full of vitamins A and C, which help strengthen the immune system.

Mice Dreams is a blend of catnip, passion flower, and lavender. Passion flower can help reduce anxiety and ward off unwanted behaviours. Lavender can also be used to reduce stress, and promote better sleep and relaxation. However, lavender in large quantities can be toxic to cats. Only use small amounts of Mice Dreams at a time, and make sure to maintain constant supervision.

The effects of catnip will only last a few minutes, and will require a few days of rest before it will affect your cat again. Use only small amounts of catnip at a time, and only use it every other day. Cats under one year may not react at all to catnip. Enjoy!
